The 501st Legion's Empire City Garrison has been asked to attend SpaceFest, being held at the Intrepid Air & Space Museum in NYC on Sunday July 28th, 2013. This is going to be a very large event and will run from 11am - 5pm.
"Inspired by our newest acquisition, the space shuttle Enterprise and our commitment to building programs surrounding Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) studies, SpaceFest is an exciting four-day festival that will celebrate all things space and innovation! As we work closely with NASA leadership to craft the content for this event, we look forward to incorporating a key group of partners to share their knowledge and help us to inspire a new generation of explorers. We would love to have members of the 501st on site one of the weekend programming days."
The Space Shuttle Enterprise exhibit has arrived and will be re-opened at the time of this event. They would love us to have members by the shuttle, in the Intrepid itself, and roaming the exhibits and booths on the pier for this event.
