The 501st Legion's Empire City Garrison has been asked to attend a SteamCon at Sachem Public Library - Holbrook, LI, NY on Saturday, June 9th 2018 from 11:00am – 2:00pm (10:30am Arrival). The event will feature games, crafts, and activities for kids. They would like us for 2-3 hours of this daylong event. Our contact there is Anthony Bliss, who was referred by other libraries, and he would be excited to have us there.
Organizer Comments: “SteamCon is the Sachem Public Library's Summer Reading Kick Off Event. It is a celebration of all things STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) and a gathering of crafters and hobbyists of all types. We have heard rave reviews from other local libraries who have requested volunteers for their events through your organization”

The Empire City Garrison has been invited to be a part of the 2nd annual Feel the Force Family Fun Day on 06/09/18. The New York City Parks and Recreation Center of Chelsea will be throwing the first ever Feel the Force Family Fun Day.Experience the Force with many of your favorite Star Wars characters and fun Star Wars activities for children of all ages.
This will be a indoor event, we will have a fan table and should be able to run Blast-A-Trooper.
All the LFL costume groups are invited as well, so let's see how my bad guys we can get out there.
